International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) Open Window 4 Grant Program

3ie invites proposals for impact evaluations of social and economic development interventions in low- and middle-income countries. Six to 10 awards of up to a total value of US$ 4 million will be made under the Open Window 4 grant programme.

CGD Working Paper on Adolescent Fertility

The Center for Global Development has a new blog post and working paper on adolescent fertility. The working paper aggregates recent empirical evidence on the socioeconomic consequences of and programs to reduce teenage pregnancy in the developing world, finding that there is still limited experimentation in this area. Interventions to reduce adolescent fertility have had variable success, but programs that lower barriers to attending school or increase the opportunity cost of school absence are most consistently supported by the existing literature.
